NCAA men's soccer tournament bracket
College Soccer News had projected that the league would get one at-large bid to go along with the automatic slot to the conference champion, Rhode Island (13-7-2).
The two teams in consideration were Saint Louis (9-5-5) and Duquesne (13-5-0). The Billikens were the runner-ups to the Rams, losing the finals game in a penalty shot shootout. The Dukes had been ranked as high as 13th in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.
Neither Atlantic 10 team received one of the 25 at-large bids.
There's good news and bad news for Rhode Island, the A-10's sole representaive. The good news: URI will take on Brown IN Providence, R.I., though at Brown's soccer field. The bad: If they win the Rams next game is against the number 1 seed in the tournament, Maryland.
The ACC received eight bids, the Big East seven and the CAA -- three.
