The Dukes were fourth in the previous week's poll.
Duquesne junior Chris Horvat led Coach Jim Lear's team with a time of 31:01.0 Saturday at Lehigh's Goodman Campus Cross County Course 10k track, which was good for 20th place in the 195-runner competition. Senior Zach Dorman was 39th (31:33.4), freshman Josh Eddy finished 41st (31:34.5), sophomore Tom Slosky 47th (31:45.1) and senior Kevin Borrelli came in at no. 78 (32:24.6).
These five runners were named to the Atlantic 10 All-Conference Team with Borrelli repeating on the All-Academic Team. The Dukes was 11th at the NCAA regionals last season after finishing 15th in 2003.
The Dukes complete the 2005 season at the IC4A championships. This annual eastern race, hosted this year by Fordham University, will be held on Saturday, November 19 at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx, New York.
