Bucknell, 27-5 and ranked 25th in the final 2005-06 USA Today/ESPN Poll, won the Patriot League Championship and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament in each of the last two seasons.
Xavier's non-conference home slate also includes Arizona State, Detroit, Miami (Ohio), American, Western Carolina and Illinois (U.S. Bank Arena). XU's 2007 Atlantic 10 Conference home schedule includes Charlotte, Dayton, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Richmond, Saint Joseph's, Saint Louis and Temple.
"Each year we strive to create a competitive, balanced schedule, trying to bring our fans an exciting home schedule with quality opponents," said Rogers. "The home schedule for the 2006-07 season will showcase outstanding college basketball."
In addition to the home slate, Xavier will play three games in the Paradise Jam in The Virgin Islands, road games at Creighton and at Cincinnati and eight Atlantic 10 road games.
Rogers noted that XU plans to add one more game to this year's schedule.
Notes: Dukes get Musketeers at Palumbo next year. The game with Arizona State will be a reunion of sorts; both Miller and assistant coach Kenya Hunter were on now-ASU coach Herb Sendek's staff when at North Carolina State.
