Dukes Win 1st Game of 2006 Football Season

Duquesne University's football team picked up their first win of the 2006 season with a 27-7 victory over cross-town rival Robert Morris Saturday afternoon in Moon Township. This win comes after last week's loss to Bucknell as a last second touchdown forced overtime.

Sophomore Scott Knapp threw two touchdown passes to junior Bruce Hocker via 68 and 30 yard scoring passes, both in the first quarter.

Knapp completed 12 of 22 passes for 193 yards

Hocker caught 5 passes for 133 yards

Senor Jeremy McCullough led the Dukes with 65 yards on 13 carries

RMU scored on a 19-yard pass from Erik Cwalinski to Alvin Hill with 6:23 left in the third quarter

Robert Morris's Brian Harden led all rushers with 82 yards on 9 carries
