The family also corrected information about Monday's bullet removal and has shared with us what's been happening in Sam's room.
"For example, it was reported today (Monday) that the doctors took out a fragment of a bullet from Sam's head. That is misleading, the fragment of bullet pushed itself out of the skin and the doctors removed it. Some people think that the doctors perfomed surgery, which they didn't. It was also reported that Sam was walking today, this also is not true, nurses helped Sam to a chair and then helped him to his feet. Sam has been upgraded from Critical condition to Serious condition. He has been tired the last two days, since he has came down with a fever. He is slowly getting over the fever.
Some of his friends from Toronto came down (Ashanti Burke, Brian Hamilton, Jason Campbell, Tristan Martin, Kirk Hodgeson), they brought him down a basketball and a T-shirt signed by some of friends. When he saw the basketball they brought him, he reached out, grabbed the basketball and brought it to his lips and kissed the ball. God is definetely working on Sam.
