It is the first MAAC Offensive Player of the Week honor for Dan Spriggs, a three-year starter at flanker. The Baltimore native caught six passes for 120 yards against the Peacocks, including a career-long 65-yarder that went for a second quarter-touchdown. Spriggs, who leads the Dukes with 40 catches, has 20 receptions in DU's past three games.
This is also the first career MAAC honor for Ronnie Garvin who led the Dukes with 10 tackles (seven solo) including a tackle for loss in the win.
Note: Marist senior safety Huck Correia was named the MAAC Defensive Player of the Week. He recorded nine tackles, one interception and a pass defended in the Red Foxes loss at Fordham.
Duquesne (5-2, 1-0), winner of 38 consecutive Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Football League games, hosts Marist (2-5, 1-0) in a 1:00 p.m. Homecoming matchup on Saturday, Oct. 21.
