Aaron Jackson, who shares the award with Charlotte's De'Angelo Alexander, put up one of the most impressive stat lines of the season with 16 points, nine rebounds, seven assists and a career-high five steals in 40 minutes of action at Saint Francis. The 6-2 sophomore's seventh assist was the biggest of the game, as Jackson found Kieron Achara alone at the top of the key for the game-winning 3-pointer as time expired.
Jackson, who is averaging an Atlantic 10-high 36.2 minutes per game, also leads the A-10 with a 2.39-1 assist-to-turnover ratio (43-18). He is second in assists (4.3 apg.) and seventh in steals (1.6 spg.).
Jackson is the first DU player to earn A-10 Player of the Week honors since Bryant McAllister on Feb. 27, 2005.
On Nov. 19, the Duquesne team was named Player of the Week - the first time a team had been honored in the 31-year history of the Atlantic 10 - after opening the season with back-to-back wins. [Teammate, and freshman forward Robert Mitchell was named the A-10's top rookie for three straight week from Novermber 26 through Decemberr 10, 2006. - ed.]
Duquesne (3-7), which snapped a seven-game losing streak with the win at Saint Francis, returns to action on Dec. 28 at Boston College (7-3).
