ST. LOUIS - Three Dukes scored in double-digits, but Theresa Lisch's jumper with 1:52 remaining in the game halted a Duquesne comeback as Saint Louis came away with a 70-67 victory at the Bauman-Eberhardt Center Wednesday night.

Box Score

The loss drops the Dukes to 9-8 overall and 0-2 in the Atlantic 10 Conference play.

Keri Pryor scored a team-high 17 points and Jade Singleton recorded her third double-double of the season with 10 points and 11 rebounds. Kristi Little added 14 points for DU.

Trailing 33-27 at halftime, Duquesne opened up the second half on a 7-2 run when a Jocelyn Chandler layup gave the Dukes a 40-39 lead. The teams exchanged leads four more times until a Maggie Hennegan jumper gave SLU a 52-51 advantage with 8:25 remaining in the game.

The Billikens were up by as many as seven points, 66-59, with 3:16 left, but the Dukes cut the deficit to one point after a pair of foul shots by Samantha Pollino and a pair of layups by Pryor.

Back-to-back baskets by Lisch and Katie Paganelli gave SLU a 70-65 lead with under a minute remaining. Pryor hit a pair of foul shots with 46 seconds left to cut the Billiken lead to 70-67. After a Saint Louis timeout, an Amy Klotz layup rolled off the rim and was rebounded by Chandler. Little had a chance to tie the game, but her 3-pointer bounced off the rim giving SLU the 70-67 home victory.

Duquesne shot a season low 1-10 from beyond the arc. The Dukes also struggled from the foul lie, making only 14 of 25 shots. The Dukes held a 38-34 rebounding advantage but had 16 turnovers to Saint Louis' 11.

The Dukes return home Saturday night to face the Dayton Flyers who own the longest current winning streak in the nation at 16 games. The Dukes and Flyers tip off at 7:00 p.m.
