David Gonzalvez, who hit five of six from three-point range, led four Spiders in double digits with 17 points. Dan Geriot addded 15 to go along with a game-best seven rebounds.
Kevin Anderson, who topped all players with eight assists, scored 11 and redshirt senior Oumar Sylla had 10 points.
Richmond, which has won nine of its last 13 games, is now 13-10, 6-4 in Atlantic 10 Conference.
Freshman Bill Clark led the Dukes with 15 points. Senior Reggie Jackson added 12 to round out the double digit scorers for Duquesne.
Senior Gary Tucker, who at 6-foot-1 had a team-best six rebounds, and junior Aaron Jackson each had four assists while freshman Damian Saunders grabbed three of DU's six steals and had three of the Dukes' five blocks. Junior Shawn James was credited with one slapaway.
Duquesne had it's lowest scoring first half (27 points) and made the fewest number of field goals (18) this season tonight.
Duquesne shot 38.3 percent from the floor including 23.8% (5/21) from the three. Richmond hit 51.0 percent from the floor with a balloon-busting 68.8% (11/16) beyond the arc.
The Dukes did have a 3-rebound edge (30/27). Richmond, with seven more assists (18/11) than DU, also had three fewer turnovers than their hosts (15/12).
Duquesne was 83.3% from the foul line, making 25-of-30, while Richmond connected on just 53.3% (8/15) of their chances.
The Dukes are now 16-8, 6-5 in league play. Duquesne heads to Cincinnati for a Thursday evening matchup with nationally-ranked Xavier at the Cintas Center at 7:00 p.m.
