This is the Atlantic 10 Conference's Men's Basketball Notebook for play from March 2, 2208, through March 8, 2008. Because of preparations for next week's championship tournament, it consists of weekly award information. This week, Temple's Dionte Christmas is the player of the week, and Richmond's Kevin Anderson and DUQUESNE'S BILL CLARK share the rookie of the week honors.

A-10 PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Dionte Christmas - Temple
Junior, Guard, 6-5, 190 lbs.
Philadelphia, Pa./Philadelphia Lutheran Christian Academy

Christmas averaged 22 points, 5.3 rebounds and two steals in leading Temple to three victories and the second seed in the 2008 Atlantic 10 Championship (Mar. 12-15)...scored a career-high 37 points on 12-of-23 shooting in the Owls’ 92-86 win versus Duquesne on Mar. 5...set a program single-season record for three-pointers made with 96...earns his third A-10 Player of the Week honor of the season and seventh of his career.

A-10 ROOKIES OF THE WEEK

Kevin Anderson - Richmond
Freshman, Guard, 5-11, 165 lbs.
Duluth, Ga./Peachtree Ridge HS

Anderson earns his sixth A-10 Rookie of the Week award after averaging 17 points and 2.5 rebounds in a pair of contests...scored 14 points and added three boards on Mar. 5 in Richmond’s 58-53 victory over Fordham...scored a team-high 20 points and added three steals in the Spiders’ 86-61 loss at Xavier on Mar. 8.

Bill Clark - Duquesne
Guard/Forward, 6-5, 205 lbs.
Redondo Beach, Calif./Worcester (Mass.) Academy

Clark averaged 11.6 points off the bench and knocked down 6-of-12 shots from beyond the arc in three contests...scored 14 points on 4-of-8 shooting and grabbed four rebounds on Mar. 2 in Duquesne’s 89-82 loss at Charlotte...had 13 points in 20 minutes action on Mar. 5 as the Dukes dropped a 92-86 decision at Temple...scored eight points and pulled down five boards in Duquesne’s 85-58 win over Saint Louis on Mar. 8...named the A-10 Rookie of the Week for the first time.
