DU Men's Soccer Remains Undefeated

Duquesne's men's soccer team extended its season opening unbeaten streak to four games as the Dukes and host Saint Francis (PA) played to a double-overtime, scoreless tie Saturday night at the Stokes Soccer Complex.

The Dukes outshot the Red Flash 19-10. Sophomore Stefan Lundberg had five shots, three were net-bound. SFU goalie Darius Montazed made a total of eight saves.

Fellow soph Chris Torres recorded his third shutout of the season. He had three saves.

David Butler had two SOGs for the Northeast Conference school.

It will be tournament time once again for the Red and Blue who host Lafayette, Marshall and Richmond starting on Friday, Sept. 12th at Rooney Field.

Duquesne (1-0-3) takes on Marshall at 7:30 p.m. on the 12th and then plays Lafayette on Sunday, Sept. 14 at 12:00 noon. As usual, DU will not play A-10 foe UR in this event.
