Dukes Cancel Tuesday's Game with Niagara

Duquesne's baseball game with Niagara For Tuesday, April 21st, has been canceled due to poor weather conditions in the Pittsburgh area. The Dukes will return to action on Wednesday, April 22, 2009, at 2:00 p.m. when they finish their suspended game with Akron from March 25 and then play the regularly scheduled nine-inning game.

The March 25th competition was suspended after 3 1/2 innings, also because of rain, with the game tied 1-1.

The umpires stopped play after the Zips batted in the top of the fourth. After an hour wait will more rain coming, the decision was made to resume play before the scheduled game at Akron on Wednesday, April 22.
