Dukes Lose, 14-7, on Nicholls State Fake Punt

Duquesne had been down, 7-0, since 6:35 of the first half. Dave Williams came off the bench after a first half injury to catch Connor Dixon's pass and kept on going for an 83 yard touchdown that tied the score with 10:48 left to play. In the next series. the Dukes' defense stopped Nicholls only to see the Southland Conference team take the lead, for good, on a 63-yard fake punt.

Duquesne's football team ran more plays than Nicholls State, won the time of possession battle and outgained the Colonels. Nice showing but not good enough for the victory. The loss evens the Dukes' record to 1-1.
