| 2006: Sat out the year in order to better utilize the Blue Raider strength and conditioning program while gaining valuable experience at the collegiate level.
High School: Led Maryville to back-to-back state championships (won three total) while earning Defensive MVP honors at the 2004 title game after registering five tackles, a fumble recovery, and a blocked kick ... Named to the 2006 TACA All-Star game ... Rebels had back-to-back perfect 15-0 records in 2004 and 2005 ... Named first team all-state by the Tennessee Sports Writers Association in 2005 and was a finalist for Class 4A Lineman of the Year ... Was the Region 3-4A Most Outstanding Lineman ... Also tabbed all-region and all-county, and was on the Knoxville News Sentinel All-Prep Extra team ... Collected six tackles and 2.5 tackles for loss in state title game against Melrose ... Compiled an overall record of 58-1 during his four years and won the last 30 games in a row ... As a senior, he tallied 66 total tackles, 9.5 tackles for loss and seven sacks and returned an interception and a fumble for touchdowns ... Played for Coach George Quarles.
