Duquesne junior Bill Clark's gamewinning three-pointer with 11.7 seconds remaining in the Dukes' come-from-behind, 52-50 win over Iowa earned the No. 4 spot on Tuesday's ESPN SportsCenter's Top 10. This was reported Wednesday morning by Duquesne's Department of Athletics.
Iowa had just retaken the lead, 50-49, on Hawkeye freshman Brennan Cougill's basket 'and one.' Clark had a game-high 20 points in Duquesne's first ever road victory over a Big Ten team and first win against that conference since the 1973-74 Dukes topped Illinois, 85-83, in the Holiday Festival in Madison Square Garden in December 1973.
The O'Reilly Auto Parts College Basketball Experience (CBE) Classic game was broadcast live on ESPNU, and was part of ESPN's 24+ hour basketball marathon that started at midnight Tuesday with Cal State Fullerton's upset win at UCLA and ended with Arizona State's victory over TCU.
